How It Works

Simple. Effective.

We understand food packaging and have designed our zero plastic solution, from the ground up, to be a direct replacement for the single-use plastics in common use today.

A vital factor is its protective barrier properties. Its ability to keep foods fresh and protected against the permeability of water vapour, gases, aroma and light.​

That is why we developed our patented nano-barrier paper technology.

The nano-barrier is "engineered" into the structure of the paper as part of the manufacturing process and delivers industry leading protection across a wide range of applications (<1g/m2/24h)

And because the nano-barrier is so effective at stopping water vapour, gases, aroma and light from passing through the paper, it ensures that food remains fresh and protected for up to 20 weeks.

When the pack is eventually opened, the nano-barrier protection is no longer needed.  And when the barrier is broken the paper immediately begins the natural process of degrading.
What happens next ?
The packaging can now be disposed of responsibly into any general (mixed) waste stream where it will naturally degrade or compost.
 
Or, it can be placed into a segregated paper or cardboard stream where it can be fully recycled.

And, if the packaging is not disposed of responsibly, the pack will naturally and harmlessly degrade with zero impact to the environment, land or ocean.
