If you were to walk into your kitchen to find the sink overflowing, spilling water all over the floor, what would you do ? Look for a mop ? Reach for a bucket ?
Or would you instinctively just...TURN OFF THE TAP. It would be pointless to mop or scoop up the water if you didn't turn off the tap first wouldn't it ? Of course it would.
So why aren't we doing the same with plastic ? And for the pollution in our oceans ?
Of course, the many clean up projects and recycling programmes around the world are doing a wonderful job. But they are fighting a losing battle.
Because they are trying to mop up while the tap is still running.
In fact, not only is the tap still running, it is being turned on even more.
Did you know that plastic production increased from 2.3 million tons in 1950 to 448 million tons in 2015.
And most worryingly, production is expected to double to 1 billion tons by 2050.

The root cause of the plastics crisis, and the plastic pollution in our oceans is the continued and increased production of the plastic in the first place. PLAIN AND SIMPLE.
So, lets turn it off.
But the question being asked is...can it be done ?
And we say the answer to that is simple. YES. And (for single-use plastics) we've PROVEN IT.
We have the technology. We have the know-how. And we certainly have the desire.
"We believe the real answer, the only answer, is to tackle the root cause of the issue head on. We must eliminate the plastic altogether. Says Tim, our Co-Founder.
"Only when we curb the quantity of plastics entering our ecosystem will we be able to start to make headway with the whole process of cleaning up the current environmental disaster we have brought upon ourselves.
"We have gone down the only route we believe, and know, to be technically achievable, commercially viable, environmentally sustainable and ethically defensible. And that route is zero plastic." he continues.
Our founding team got together (several years ago) to address the growing issue of plastic packaging pollution, and set out to find a solution.
And that is what we have done.
Our Zero Plastic packaging solution uses only natural and sustainable materials and is 100% biodegradable, compostable, recyclable and sustainable.
